Ann Morgan Zimmerer, born June 29, 1923, in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, daughter of Edgar and Lula Mae Morgan, died on September 2, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Ann graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of West Virginia, a PHD in Psychology from the University of Houston, and a J.D. from the Bates (University of Houston) College of Law.

Ann served in the WAVES during WWII. She loved traveling and dancing. Ann was a long-time member of the First Methodist Houston (Downtown), and an active member of the Adelphia Sunday School class.

Ann was married to Robert Ivan Zimmerer for 61 years. She is survived by three children: daughter Sandra K. Zimmer and her husband, Clyde Moore, Jr; son Gerald Lee Zimmerer and his wife Nancy Selber Zimmerer; and son Douglas Allan Zimmerer and his wife Donna Owens Zimmerer; and by three grandchildren: Michael, René, and Nicole Zimmerer.

Family to receive friends at 12:45pm (light lunch served) Sunday, Sept. 7 at First Methodist Houston (Downtown) 1320 Main Street, Houston, Texas with a 2:00pm funeral service. A brief reception following the funeral will also be held in the church lobby.
